
Kobi is the most innovative billing solution for corporate clients and small to medium operators who would like to analyse large portions of data, real-time.
Applied technologies allowed to achieve very high efficiency and stability of the system. Modern system architecture enables it to be used not only to account phone-calls, but also the amount of data transmitted and costs of multimedia services like movie sharing through cable TV networks etc. It is an integral part of tariffication system, which is responsible for feeding the data form PBX switchboards to database and consequently to call accounting and reporting.
Data collection:
Unique method of collection, mediation and standardization of input data allows to gather them form many different formats plaintext (TXT), comma separated values files (CSV), and databases (ex. Microsoft SQL Server). Using regular expressions in record parsing made our system more versatile so it can easily be adjusted to clients expectations without the need for additional coding. System's data processing can be run as a operating system service.
Tariffication:
Innovative approach to tariffication's definition enables to define every possible tariffication plan, in contrary to other billing systems it is possible to set up the degressive plan (decreasing costs along the call duration) with varying cost of tariffication pulse and the way of accounting pulses. System enables the use of discounts both flat and varying on the number of certain calls made. Identification of distinguished numbers enables both distinguishing between private and business calls and custom call type assignment basing on the dialled number.
Organization of lines/codes and users:
Moving towards our product recipients' needs there is the ability to define any number of structures of the same type. This enables grouping by line, code, user's id and solves the problem of line grouping by their geographical location or division of the company to smaller units like departments or cost-centers. Legitimate users can prepare reports basing on chosen organizational structure.
Reporting:
Integrated, highly automated reporting module speeds up and makes the process of definition and creation of reports more efficient. It's functionality is to prepare the report according to custom setting, save it to a predefined file type and even attach it to an e-mail.
Supported file types:
- plaintext, fixed width column (TXT);
- comma separated values text file (CSV);
- Excel file (XLS);
- Excel file (XLS) with custom template;
Predefined report types help discovering abuse: more expensive calls or longer than declared calls. Above that it is possible to inform the subscriber when the declared quota of time, pulses, or price is reached. Report generation from the web browser front-end (utilising WebReporter module) enables user privilege granting to generate reports by certain lines. Those reports are saved in TXT, CSV or XLS format, for XLS installation of Excel is not mandatory.
Built-in administration functionality:
In Kobi system there are built in administration functions increasing functionality of the whole system and improving it's management.
Built-in functions are:
- Backup calls to archive;
- Restore calls from archive;
- Database backup;
- Removing old reports;
- Database compression;
- Remove tariffied calls;
